Why should I seal my stone floors?

Sealing helps to protect porous stone surfaces like marble, travertine, slate and limestone from stains and dirt. It enhances the longevity of your floors and keeps them looking beautiful and makes cleaning and maintenance much easier.

Will cleaning and sealing my floors restore their original look?

Our cleaning services can significantly improve the appearance of your floors by removing dirt, grime, and stains. Sealing will help to protect your floors. However, deep scratches or heavy wear on the stone may require additional treatments like polishing or refinishing

Will your cleaning process damage my floors?

Our cleaning methods are safe for all types of tile and stone floors. We are professionally trained in all aspects of floor restoration

How often should I seal my tile and stone floors?

Stone and grout sealing should be done every 1 to 3 years, depending on the type of stone and its exposure to moisture, stains, and wear. Sealing helps to protect your floors from damage and makes cleaning easier.

Can you remove stains from grout or stone?

Yes! Our professional cleaning process's can remove most stains from both grout and stone surfaces. However, some stains may be permanent depending on the type of stain and how long it has set into the stone. We will assess the situation and provide the best solution for your floors.

How long does it take to clean and seal my floors?

The duration of the cleaning & sealing process can vary depending on the size of the area, the condition of the floor, and the type of sealer requested. Once we have evaluated the floor and have all the required information, we can provide you with an accurate timeline of works to be carried out

Is it safe to walk on my floors after sealing?

After sealing, we typically recommend waiting 2 to 4 hours before walking on the floor to ensure the seal has cured. We’ll provide you with specific instructions based on the type of seal used.

What type of sealers do you use and how do they work?

    Penetrating / Impregnating Sealers:
They penetrate deep into the stone floor. Their purpose is to block contaminants from entering the substrate of the stone while at the same time allowing it to expel interior moisture. They are therefore “breathable” or vapour permeable.

    Topical / Wax Finishes:
Wax / topical finishes sit on top of the tiles and act as a surface barrier, making the tiles stain & water resistant. Most of these are water based products which are made from polymers so that they can easily be removed with a compatible stripper.

How do I prepare my floors for cleaning and sealing?

Before we arrive, it’s helpful to remove any furniture from the area to give us clear access to the floors

How much does it cost to clean and seal my floors?

The cost can vary depending on factors such as the size of the area, the current condition of the floor, if there are any old seals to remove and the required finish. We offer free, no-obligation site visits & quotes. We can also provide a pre-visit estimate if you were to provide photos and measurements of the area beforehand.

Do you offer any warranty or guarantee on your services?

Yes! We offer a satisfaction guarantee on all of our cleaning and sealing services. If you're not happy with the results, we will work with you to make it right!

Do you provide any ongoing maintenance plans?
